Climate Led Initiative (CLI)

The CLI Project in Gilgit-Baltistan & Chitral aims to address the challenges posed by climate change on agriculture and food security in a region highly vulnerable to environmental changes. It focuses on promoting sustainable agricultural practices, including regenerative, climate-smart, and conservation agriculture, to improve crop and livestock productivity. The project also seeks to revive traditional farming techniques, reduce soil erosion, and enhance water availability through innovative solutions such as micro-hydel schemes, greenhouses, and organic fertilisers. AKRSP's intervention aims to bolster local food and agricultural security, thereby supporting the region’s economic development and resilience to climate impacts.
