NEWS has undertaken coastal resilience programme in Indian Sundarban under which several projects work namely - 1. Climate resilient communities in Sundarbans are economically, ecologically and socially strengthened and are committed to address the consequence of climate change 2. Mainstreaming Sustainable Aquaculture in Mangrove Ecosystem (SAIME) 3. Restoring Ecosystem in Coastal Region at Buraburir Tot, Sundarban through Mangrove afforestation 4. Mangrove Restoration and Long-Term Protection through Value Chain Development for Local Community in Sundarban 5. Building a transnational, civil society partnership to increase the resilience of coastal populations in South Asia 6. Building capacities for augmenting livelihood to sustain the Mangrove stewardship of women in Indian Sundarban to adapt to climate change 7. Micro Watershed (MWS)/ Isolated MI scheme identification to SDMP preparation and WUA development in South 24 Parganas District Project Management Unit (DPMU) under West Bengal Accelerated Development of Minor Irrigation Project and many more..
